When i still think when I was a freshman, Mr.B asked us to purchase a MacBook, everybody went crazy. If there was a huge presentation about it, it wouldn't be a big concern. It was so awkward how this was announced on the final day of the finals. Parents were bemused and so were we. Honestly, I thought buying a MacBook is a waste. But then, it should feel good to have a new laptop right? Anyways, sophomore year started and everybody brought their macbooks to class. I thought we were going to do something really cool with this new technological product. Instead, there were only projects that required iMovie, nothing else. Some students took advantage and decided to download some games on the MacBook. I'm a huge hardcore gamer but I thought it was a bit over the line.
The MacBook is convinent when we take notes during class. The MacBook seems like a game of patiency. Your right index finger always tries to click a website that has nothing related to the class. Oh the temptation. The NBA scores, Facebook, Youtube, Mail etc.
The old school fits me better, writing on hand actually makes me learn the information better as well. If the macbook is used for some researching during class, then why don't we use the school laptops like we did 2 years ago?
